SEMAT Workshop: Organizational Details

Venue

The SEMAT workshop will be organized in Zurich, on March 17 and 18, 2010.

The workshop will be hosted by the Chair of Software Engineering of ETH Zurich (the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich).

The two days of the workshop will take place in the central campus of ETH, building CLA, room J1. The building is located at the address Tannenstrasse 3, 8092 Zürich.

The workshop will run for the two full days with a 9 AM to 5:30 PM standard schedule. The exact program of the workshop will be posted here.

Registration

Participation in the workshop is open to all SEMAT signatories. The registration fee will be 170 CHF per participants for the two days and will include:

  • The coffee breaks.
  • The lunches at the Dozentenfoyer (ETH Faculty Club) on the two days of the workshop.
  • Dinner on the first day of the workshop (March 17).

In addition, the Chair of Software Engineering will offer a cocktail party to all participants at the end of the workshop (March 18).

Participants can register:

  • In advance, by sending their credit card details to the fax number +41 4463 21435;
  • On site on the first morning of the workshop, in cash or with their credit card (but please notify us by email that you intend to come).

Accomodation

The Computer Science Department of ETH offers a list of conveniently located hotels. Participants should book their hotel directly.The recommended hotel is the Leonardo Rigihof (about 10 minutes'walk). The Sunnehus is also convenient, and only about one minute away from the meeting place.

Travel

The central campus of ETH is centrally located and close to the main railway station "Zurich HB" (see GoogleMaps to reach building CLA from the station).

From the airport, note that tram 10 takes you directly to the ETH area in less than 30 minutes. The relevant stations are ETH/Universitätspital for the meeting place and the Hotel Sunnehus, and Seilbahn Rigiblick (3 stations earlier) to the Leonardo Rigihof. From the main station, you may use tram 10 (in the reverse direction) or 6 (three stations to ETH/Universitätspital).
