It is one of those days that a lot of times leads in disappointment. Why? Because women are complex creatures as I’m sure you all know. Some women want the cliche flowers, candy, spa, dinner. Others want something “special,” or “creative,” all the while refusing to tell the man as they want it to be “his idea,” and then you have the women who just want him to show he cares and don’t care about the $$ (this is me), and I’m sure there are others. But in general, it seems like men are so damn confused as to what their girl wants and so they take the safe bet an do the flowers/candy, and there girl may be happy he did SOMETHING but let down that it wasn’t what she had her mind on.It’s kind of hilarious but I’ve seen it play out on so many of my friends. It’s happened to me as well. I’m the type that cares more about some kind of action showing how much he cares versus the dollar amount he dropped on me.Anyway…I’m celebrating 5 years of being single this valentines day, so it’s just another Saturday to me.PS: dadshouse, I hope you have a woman that appreciates that mindset! If only there were more men that thought that way. |
