I would listen to the answer of the teacher very carefully as I am sure that it will help me to find out the way of his/her thinking. Definitely, my talk to the teacher would be based on the primary qualities each teacher should have. I would explain that everyone who teaches children should be tactful in the first place. Different situations happen in a teachers job; however, pedagogical tact and thoughtfulness are such skills that can help a teacher to take improvisational actions in educational situations. They are always changing, as nothing can be the same all the time:students are different, the atmosphere of every lesson is different, and the time is different as well. In other words, a teacher always faces challenges to give positive shape to any unanticipated situation. It means the ability to see pedagogical possibilities in ordinary incidents. If a student is ill or takes some medicines, it is not the reason to mention this to parents. As the principal of the school, I would ask the teacher to correct the mistakes. Afterwards, I would ask him/her to write one more note considering the previous inaccuracy. Definitely, this note would not be shown to the parents of the student. It would be just the way to check whether the person understands his/her mistake or not. Probably, I would make some personal training with him/her or ask someone to do it. For example, someone would describe to the teacher different situations that can happen at school, and he/she should reply what his/her behavior would be.The important factor in all this process is not just to correct that unconventional note, but to find what the teacher does not understand in his/her work and why he/she writes such notes. It would be the primary task for me as the principal of the school because I want to eliminate this problem in the future.Moreover, except personal training with a teacher, I would make it for the whole staff. I would invite people who can provide professional help and organize a training discussing the importance of tact and thoughtfulness in a teachers job. The mistake of one teacher could be just a sign that probably something is missed in the understanding of teachers profession. In order to prevent problems connected with indelicate behavior of teachers in future, I would prefer to organize such an event. I strongly believe that it is better to prevent problems than to solve them after they happen. Actually, everything seems to be clear about a teachers job; however, it is better to repeat, remind or explain to the staff one more time what it means to be a good teacher and how they should communicate with childrens parents. I strongly believe that the training would be useful for everyone and will help avoid some unconventional situations in the future.Moreover, I would recommend teachers not to be afraid to ask for an advice from more experienced staff.
